New project: Changing states

The project CHANGING STATES explores the complex life journey of Elli Kruithof (1926–2009), a woman who traded her passion for art and creativity for a career in theology. Artist @jitskeschols brings the many facets of Elli’s life to light, from her struggle for recognition and love to her unwavering spirit and sense of humor. Ik loop graag naar mijn studio, liever dan ik fiets. Het is precies 5.000 stappen. Ik loop over de Nieuwmarkt en de Geldersekade, pak de pont naar IJplein en wandel dan langs het IJ naar mijn atelier op de Zamenhofstraat. Aan het einde van de middag loop ik dezelfde route terug. Kassa! 10.000 Stappen gezet. Mijn vriendin Annique doet het grondiger. Zij loopt al sinds oktober zo’n dertig kilometer per dag.
