Ages ago, on a hot summer day, I remember walking to the
swimming pond in the forest where I lived to cool down a bit. The
water was fresh and while I was doubting to enter the water I saw
something move. It was a dragonfly starting to hatch. It took a while
when this little creature pulled herself out of her shell. It was an
amazing spectacle.

It struck me back then. The power of nature is so self-evident and yet
so incredibly bizarre. And nature is smart. Like it does not make
products that it cannot break down. If people would follow that
principle more, life would be more sustainable, smarter and safer.
But hey, that’s nature. No human has yet succeeded in making
something as advanced as a plant or a brain…

Is it ever possible for the human species to emulate nature when it comes to art? In this series I wonder about the beauty of nature.
