After marrying in 1952, Elli and Raymond become a design duo shaping modern Belgian interiors. Their breakthrough come with the 1953 ‘Het Nieuwe Wonen’ exhibition.
Elli’s playful, modern pieces—like tube-framed chairs and a custom sideboard—help replace heavy ‘Mechelen furniture’ with lighter, fresher forms.
