Elli lives alone in a small apartment in Antwerp. Though she isn’t religious, she appears in De Open Poort in 1965—a small paper supporting the evangelism efforts of the Reformed Churches in Belgium—together with her sister Nia. Elli is credited as the designer of the publication and as an advisor for the renovation of the affiliated church. Nia, meanwhile, is listed as a church member and the owner of a pedigree dog grooming salon. Elli regularly visits her family. But a new love never enters her life again.
