Blunda

Although my new photo essay ‘Asking Elsa’ is far from finished yet, I am proudly introducing ‘Blunda’ (2021) already. The photo essay I am working on requires a lot of research and a creative approach to tell the special story of my Swedish great-grandmother Elsa. When she was 17 years old she exchanged Sweden for the Netherlands and I will try to tell her story with love. ‘Blunda’ is a sneak preview artwork from the series. In Swedish ‘Blunda’ means ‘to shut one’s eyes’, and can be used literally or figuratively.

The artwork is available in two sizes in an edition of 5 (+2 AP’s). It is framed in a beautiful uncoated nutwood hand made frame with museum glass and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. Click on ‘select options’ for more information or orders. Please contact me or my gallery Caroline O’Breen if you have any further questions.
