The portrait series miXed is about the theme of identity. The series concerns young people in the 12 – 25 age group with a mixed cultural background and focuses on the notion of ‘being Dutch’. The portraits in the series emphasize our genetic relationship. After all, anyone who checks far enough quickly comes to the conclusion that we all have a miXed background.
